The Center for the Promotion of Science participated at the second science festival in Banja Luka

The second science festival organized in Banja Luka from November 7th to November 9th attracted scientists, lecturers and science promoters from around the region as well as numerous children and adults, all of them science fans. And the Center for the Promotion of Science was there.

The Minister of Science and Technology of Republika Srpska, Professor Dr. Jasmin Komic, opened the three-day festival. The program was varied and covered the topics from plasmolysis to robotics, as the organizers announced. The Festival presented a number of organizations that popularize science; among them were the Center for the Promotion of Science and the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute from Serbia.

Popular science lectures were held at the Festival and an interesting event “5 Minutes With a Scientist” was very popular. At this event, visitors could talk with scientists in a relaxed atmosphere and get answers from scientists on questions that interested them.

The Festival ended with awards being given for the best students-researchers, best science book, best science magazine and best research organization.

The Festival of Science was organized by the Ministry of Science of the Republika Srpska in cooperation with the media organization Aquarius, known for producing a large number of popular science and educational programs.
