Innovations 2.0 at CPN

The CPN’s Science Club hosted a workshop where The World Bank gathered Serbian leaders in the area of Innovation and experts from Finland

The World Bank, in cooperation with CPN, organized a workshop titled ”Exchange of knowledge between Serbia and Finland”, on May 15 at the CPN’s Science Club. The workshop was held as part of ”May, Month of Mathematics”, and this way, it opened a pathway for networking and exchange of knowledge with the representatives of Finland.

The workshop has been created as part of Serbia’s Innovation Project (SIP), a European instrument supported by the World Bank, which helps Serbia’s integration in the European Union. The aim of the project is to support innovative enterprising and enhance recruiting processes and economics.

Lecturers at this workshop were: Ljiljana Kundaković (Innovation Fund) and Kaisa Lahtenmaki-Smith, Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister of Finland, who presented a model of Strategic Centers for Science, Technology and Innovation (SHOK), which has been successfully integrated in Finland, since 2007.

The workshop served as a platform for exchanging experience and for a potential cooperation between Serbian leaders in the area of Innovation and experts from Finland.

The field of information and communication technologies was recognized as the area with the most potential for growth and development, but other possible partnerships and opportunities in other fields were considered as well.
