European Student Parliament

European Student Parliament

European Student Parliament is a project initiated by Wissenschaft im Dialog from Berlin with the goal to strengthen dialogue between students aged between 16 and 19 and scientific researchers in Europe.[:]

The student’s parliament was held from Friday, November 8, to Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the National Parliament of the Republic of Serbia.

Within three days, students learned about parliamentary processes of decision making through simulation of the parliament work. Discussing different scientific aspects of the topic “Future of our city”, high school students prepared the final parliamentary debate through teamwork and expert debates. Students have actively been working three days on finding solutions for each topic in five groups, with no costs of participation. 100 students from Europe will have the opportunity to take part at the final EU Student Parliament, which will be held during the Euroscience Open Forum Conference in Copenhagen in 2014. The selected representatives of Serbia are the following: Sofija Jovanovic, Jelena Glisic, Bogdan Radicevic, Lazar Bulic and Vanja Godjevac.

This project is being implemented in 17 European countries. European Student Parliament is financed by the Robert Bosch Foundation and the organizer in Serbia is the Center for the Promotion of Science.
